Here at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, in Hudson Oaks, Texas, we are dedicated to the cause of Christ to share the good news of the Gospel and His Love in our community and around the world in every way we can.
The Church according to the Scripture, is the Bride of Jesus Christ, His helpmate. We therefore endevor to grow together in love, being perfected daily by the Holy Spirit living in us as we grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we faithfully share His Love in our community, we grow stronger in the Lord and closer to each other as well.
We describe ourselves as REFRESHINGLY TRADITIONAL. By this we mean that we have rediscoved the joy and value of what inspired our parents and grand parents; we have restored our roots in the Word of God and have strengthened our love for God and His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
The apostle Paul said it best in Eph 3:16-21: That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
